💬 VidMints AI Assistant

How can we help?

The fastest way to get unstuck is to ask. Chat with the VidMints assistant below — when you are signed in it can see your plan, your credit balance, and your recent renders, so answers are specific to your account. Not sure where to begin? Pick one of the questions below and it will open the chat with that prompt filled in.

What the Help Center is for

VidMints is a browser-based studio for making, editing, and saving video and images with the help of AI. The Help Center is the single place to figure out how any part of that works. It has two halves. The first is the assistant at the top of this page: a chat that answers questions in plain language and, when you are signed in, can look at your own account — your plan, how many credits you have left, and the renders you have made recently — so it can tell you exactly why something happened rather than guessing. The second half is the topic list above, which sends you straight into the tool you are reading about so you can learn by doing.

You do not need to know which tool you want before you arrive. Describe what you are trying to make — “a 15-second product clip with captions” or “a clean version of this photo with a face blurred out” — and the assistant will point you at the right place, whether that is the AI video editor, the photo editor, or the captions workflow.

How the assistant works

The chat is a text conversation. You type a question, it replies, and you can keep going — follow-up questions keep the earlier context, so you can start broad and narrow down. When you are signed in it reads the current state of your account to ground its answers; when you are signed out it can still explain how features and pricing work, it just cannot see your specific balance or history. It is a guide, not a control panel: it will walk you through where to click and what a setting does, but actions that change your account — upgrading a plan, deleting a render — you still confirm yourself on the relevant page.

Getting an answer, step by step

  1. Open the chat — it opens automatically on this page, or use the launcher in the bottom-right corner of any screen where it is available.
  2. Sign in first if your question is about your own account, so the assistant can see your plan, credits, and renders.
  3. Type your question, or tap one of the suggested prompts above to fill it in for you.
  4. Read the answer and ask a follow-up if you need more detail — the conversation remembers what you already asked.
  5. Follow any link it gives you into the actual tool, or jump there yourself from the topic list above.

When people use it

  • First run: understanding what a prompt should say to get a usable first video or image.
  • A credit ran out mid-project and you want to know what was charged and what your options are.
  • A download stalled or failed and you need to know whether to retry or wait.
  • Deciding between plans before you commit to a paid tier.
  • Finding a render you made last week and can no longer locate.

Honest limitations

The assistant answers questions about VidMints; it is not a general search engine and will not do your video editing for you. It cannot recover work you never saved, reverse a completed charge on its own, or see account details while you are signed out. AI generation and some other features spend credits, so the assistant can explain a cost but cannot waive it. And because it relies on the current state of your account, an answer about credits or renders is only as fresh as your last sign-in. For anything it cannot resolve — a billing dispute, a suspected bug, a request that needs a human — it will hand you off rather than pretend. You can always reach a person through the Help Center contact options.

Troubleshooting

  • The chat did not open: refresh the page. The widget opens a moment after the page loads; a slow connection can delay it.
  • It cannot see my plan or credits: make sure you are signed in. Account-specific answers only work for a signed-in session.
  • A suggested prompt did not prefill: on older builds the chat still opens — just paste or type the question yourself.
  • The widget is blocked: some ad blockers or strict privacy settings can hide chat widgets. Allow the page or try a different browser.

Practical tips

  • Be specific. “Why did my export come out blurry?” gets a better answer than “it looks bad.”
  • Ask about cost before you generate if you are watching your credits — the assistant can outline what an action will spend.
  • Use the topic cards above when you already know the area; use the chat when you do not.
  • Keep one thread going for a single problem so follow-ups keep their context.

How this differs from a static FAQ

A traditional help site is a fixed list of articles: useful, but you have to find the right one and hope it matches your situation. The VidMints assistant is conversational and, when you are signed in, account-aware, so it can answer “why did this happen to me” rather than only “here is how the feature works in general.” The trade-off is that it needs a live session to be that specific. If you prefer to read, the topic cards above and the tools and blog pages cover the same ground in article form.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to be signed in to use the Help Center?

No. You can read every topic and ask general questions while signed out. Signing in only matters when you want answers about your own plan, credits, or renders, which the assistant cannot see otherwise.

Does asking the assistant cost credits?

Chatting with the Help Center assistant is not the same as generating media. Credits are spent by AI generation and certain other features; if a question involves an action that would spend credits, the assistant will tell you before you commit to it.

Can it fix a billing problem directly?

It can explain charges and walk you through the billing page, but changes to your subscription are confirmed by you, and disputes that need review are handed to a person.

Can I download any video I find online?

The downloader is meant for content you created or have the rights to use. It is not a way to take material that belongs to someone else. If you are unsure whether you have the right to save something, you probably should not.

Where do my finished videos and images go?

Completed renders are collected in your library. If you cannot find something, ask the assistant while signed in and it can help you track down a recent render.

What if the assistant cannot answer my question?

It will say so rather than guess, and point you to a human or the right page. You can also reach out directly through the contact options in the Help Center.
