Your VidMints Account: Sign Up, Sign In, and Manage Your Profile

A complete guide to creating and managing your VidMints account — signing up with email or Google, verifying your address, updating your profile and password, understanding credits, and fixing common sign-in problems.

Creating your account

Your VidMints account is the key to everything in the browser-based studio: the AI video and image tools, your Library of finished renders, your credit balance, and the downloader. You only need one account, and you can create it in a couple of minutes.

There are two ways to sign up. With email, go to the Register page and enter your name, email address, and a password. Passwords must be 8 to 128 characters and include at least one letter and one number. After you submit, we email you a 6-digit verification code. Enter it on the next screen to finish creating your account and you'll be signed in automatically.

Alternatively, choose Continue with Google. This uses Google's secure sign-in, and because Google has already confirmed your email, your VidMints account is verified instantly — no code required. If your Google email matches an account you already made with a password, the two are linked into a single account rather than creating a duplicate.

  • Email signup requires verifying a 6-digit code sent to your inbox
  • Passwords: 8–128 characters, at least one letter and one number
  • Google sign-in verifies your email automatically
  • One email = one account; Google and password sign-in link to the same account

What to expect after signing up

New accounts start on the Free plan. Some tools in VidMints are free to use, while AI generation features (such as video renders, face swap, lip-sync, and similar) cost credits. You can see your current balance in the app header and on the Billing page.

Credits come from two buckets: a monthly allowance that comes with a paid plan and resets each billing cycle (unused monthly credits do not roll over), and purchased top-up credits that you buy separately. Top-up credits do not expire and are kept even if a subscription lapses. When you run a paid action, your monthly allowance is spent first, and top-ups are only used once the monthly balance is exhausted. If your balance is lower than an action's cost, VidMints stops before running anything and shows you the exact shortfall with options to buy credits or upgrade — you're never charged for a job that didn't start.

Managing your profile and preferences

Open Settings to manage your account. It has three tabs.

Profile lets you change your display name, add an optional short bio, and upload a profile photo (PNG, JPG, or WebP). If you don't upload a photo, your avatar is a simple initial-letter icon; you can remove an uploaded photo at any time to return to it. Your email address is shown here but is locked to your sign-in identity — if you genuinely need to change it, contact support and we'll help.

Preferences includes the appearance toggle. Dark is the default theme; Light gives you a clean white workspace. Your choice is remembered on that device.

Passwords and account security

To change your password, open Settings and go to the Security tab. Enter your current password (if your account has one) and your new password twice. For security, changing your password signs you out of every other device — you stay signed in only where you made the change.

If you forgot your password, use the Forgot password link on the login page. We email a reset code to your address; enter it along with a new password. Completing a reset also signs out every existing session on the account.

The Security tab also has a Sign out everywhere button, which ends every active session including the current one. Use it if you ever suspect someone else has accessed your account. VidMints keeps you signed in across visits using a secure, rotating session that expires after a period of inactivity, so you won't have to log in every single time.

Downloads and your responsibilities

The downloader is intended for content you own or otherwise have the right to save. Please respect the rights of creators and platform terms of service when using it.

Downloads from some platforms (for example YouTube or Instagram) depend on configuration the operator maintains, such as cookies or a proxy. Because those platforms change frequently, a specific download may temporarily fail even when everything on your end is correct. If that happens, it's usually a short-lived, server-side issue rather than a problem with your account — try again later or reach out to support.

Troubleshooting sign-in

Most account problems fall into a few categories. If a login is rejected with "verify your email," your account exists but was never verified — request a new code and complete verification. If your verification email never arrives, wait a moment and check your spam folder, then use the resend option (there's a short 60-second cooldown between sends). If you mistype a code several times it will stop accepting attempts; request a fresh one and try again.

If the app suddenly asks you to log in again, your session simply expired or was ended — signing back in restores access to your Library and credits, which are tied to your account, not your session.

Frequently asked questions

I signed up with a password before, but now I want to use Google. Will that create a second account?

No. If your Google email matches the email on your existing account, signing in with Google links to that same account rather than creating a duplicate. Your Library, credits, and profile stay intact, and you can continue using either sign-in method.

Can I change the email address on my account myself?

Not from the Settings page — your email is locked to your sign-in identity and shown as read-only. If you have a genuine need to change it, contact support through the Help page and we'll assist you.

My verification or reset code never arrived. What should I do?

First check your spam or junk folder, since automated emails sometimes land there. If it's genuinely missing, use the resend option; there is a short 60-second cooldown between requests. Codes also expire after a few minutes, so if too much time has passed, just request a fresh one.

Do my credits disappear if my subscription ends?

Purchased top-up credits never expire and stay on your account even if a paid subscription lapses — you'll simply return to the Free plan. Only the monthly plan allowance stops when a subscription ends, and monthly credits never roll over from one cycle to the next regardless.
